Glossary
NCM = Nomenclatura Común del MERCOSUR. The tariff classification code used by Uruguay, Argentina, Brazil, and Paraguay. The 2-digit level is the international Harmonized System (HS) chapter (e.g. 02 = Meat), 4-digit is the HS heading, 6-digit is the HS subheading. The 7th-8th digits are MERCOSUR-specific.
Aduana = the customs office where a shipment is cleared. 001 = Puerto de Montevideo (the maritime port), 002 = Montevideo (Carrasco airport + road), 003 = Colonia, 004 = Nueva Palmira (regional bulk), etc. "All aduanas" sums every office — the whole country — and is the default view; pick a specific office (e.g. 001) to narrow it.
Regimen = E (export), I (import), T (transit — goods passing through Uruguay).
Via = the transport mode: 1 = maritime, 2 = air, 4 = road, 7 = river.
DUA = Declaración Única Aduanera — a single customs declaration. One DUA can have many line items (different products under the same shipment).
RUT = Rol Único Tributario — the Uruguayan tax ID. Format: 12 digits + check digit.
