About uytrades
uytrades makes Uruguay's public customs record searchable — every import and export declaration, normalized, indexed, and updated daily. This page explains where the data comes from, how we process it, and what it does (and doesn't) mean.
Where the data comes from
Every figure on uytrades originates from the DUA (Documento Único Aduanero) declarations published by Uruguay's Dirección Nacional de Aduanas on its public “DUA Diarios Públicos” feed. This is primary-source, government-published data. We re-host it with a search interface; we are not affiliated with Aduanas.
Coverage
The archive spans 2016 to the present and covers all 14 customs offices — more than 4 million individual declarations, over 20 million line items, across exports, imports, and transit. Company identities (RUT), product classifications (NCM/HS codes), counterpart countries, values, and weights are all preserved from the source records.

How it's updated
We mirror the source feed every six hours. New declarations are parsed, validated, and loaded into a columnar database, then pre-aggregated into the rankings and breakdowns you see in the explorer. Values are reported in US dollars (FOB) as filed.
What the numbers mean
“Exports” and “imports” follow the customs régimen on each declaration; “balance” is exports minus imports (FOB). Year-over-year figures compare the same period against the prior year. Aggregations by company, product, or country sum the underlying declarations — a single shipment can appear under a company, a product chapter, and a destination at once.
Accuracy & limitations
The source can contain errors, late filings, and corrections that appear weeks after the fact. We mirror it as published — we do not correct, audit, or warrant the underlying records. Use uytrades for orientation and research, not as a legal, tax, or accounting source of truth. For certified records, request them from Aduanas.
